A huge kudo to Pat Morley of Catfish Sound for his talented and expert handling of our sound, for hiring and production for the bands and for all of the support he gives the Festival stage. And thank you to the bands Pat arranged to provide that outstanding music for you. You were all wonderful.
And a big thank you to Mike Sutherland, co-owner of Brother’s BBQ of Danville, KY for his generosity. Mike opens his doors and kitchen to the visiting Pit Masters when they may need a place to cook and prepare special parts of their meals. He also provides his restaurant as a late-night spot for the Pit Masters to chill out and enjoy the comraderie of the other Pit Masters.
And thanks to the Kentucky State BBQ Festival Committee and all of our volunteers for all of the hard work they put into making this event a success!
And to Mayor Mike Perros and the City Commission of Danville, Danville City Manager Ron Scott, Danville Police and Fire Departments, the Boyle County Fiscal Court and Judge Executive Harold McKinney, the Danville/Boyle County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Heart of Danville Main Street Program, the Danville/Boyle County Chamber of Commerce and all the other officials and local offices that supported us in making the Kentucky State BBQ Festival possible.
And last, but certainly not least, thanks to all of you who come from all over the U.S. and the world to enjoy the best BBQ in America and support Heart of Kentucky United Way. Without you, there would be no Festival. We had visitors from 48 states and several foreign countries this year. We love you all. See you next year!
